V. Sivarama Krishna, former Deputy Forest Range Officer of Bobbili section in the Parvathipuram division in Vizianagaram district was convicted in a bribe case registered in 2007. He was sentenced to two years imprisonment and penalty of Rs. 2,000 under the provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act. According to ACB, he was caught red-handed when he accepted Rs. 4,000 bribe from a complainant for permitting transport of teak logs.
