HYDERABAD: Congress MLA Marri Shashidhar Reddy has advised party MP from Kadapa Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy to observe restraint and approach the higher authorities, Ministers and even the Chief Minister to redress the grievances of people.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi on Wednesday, Mr. Shashidhar Reddy, who is also the member of National Disaster Management Authority, said it was not proper for the MP to air in public his displeasure over the dilution of Government programmes.

Referring to Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy's remark that he was hanging his head in shame after some women complained about non-fulfilment of the promises made to them, Mr. Shashidhar Reddy said the former could have approached the higher officials, who were present at the Praja Patham. “If they are not able to redress the grievances, he can always contact the concerned Minister or the Chief Minister and inform them about the problem,” he remarked. He said the Kadapa MP appeared to have become emotional and agitated at the welfare schemes not being implemented properly.

He advised him to be patient and not to get carried away by emotions.

He also said it was not correct to give an impression of hostility towards the Chief Minister.
