Several supporters of former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy including a section of the elected representatives of the local bodies from Bhadrachalam and Pinapaka Assembly segments left for New Delhi to participate in the fast planned by Mr Jagan in the national capital on January 11.

Sources said Kunja Dharma Rao, husband of Bhadrachalam MLA K Satyavathi of the Congress party, Kunavaram mandal parishad president Karakalaxmi and several other lower rung leaders of the ruling party were among those who left for New Delhi on Sunday.

Similarly, several Congress cadres led by the followers of Pinapaka MLA Rega Kantha Rao reportedly reached Hyderabad on Sunday to accompany Mr Jagan to New Delhi.

Rumours made the rounds in political circles in the district on Sunday about the likely participation of both MLAs of Bhadrachalam and Pinapaka segments in Jagan's protest programme in New Delhi.
