Telugu Desam leader Kinjarapu Yerrannaidu on Sunday alleged that former MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy wanted to test his own strength by organising dharna in New Delhi over Krishna waters issue forgetting that the then YS Rajasekhar Reddy's government had failed to argue properly before the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal which had given a favourable verdict to Karnataka recently.

Addressing a press conference, he said Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy had no moral right to fight over the issue as his father YSR could not appoint eminent advocates to put the argument of the State before the tribunal. “The then YSR government appointed A. Sudarshan Reddy, G.Veera Reddy and Sriramula Reddy ,who had little knowledge about the issue. They could not give proper reply when tribunal raised key issues. With their failure in arguing the case effectively, several districts in the State will become deserts in future,” Mr.Yerrannaidu feared. He recalled that the then Telugu Desam Party had relentlessly fought over the issue, forcing Karnataka to reduce the Almatti's dam height during the United Front regime.
