HYDERABAD: Emergency Management Research Institute, that runs the highly-successful ‘108’ service, will now be known as GVK EMRI following the induction of GVK Reddy as chairman and three more independent directors on its Board. GVK EMRI’s governing body has inducted Dr. Abid Hussain, former Indian Ambassador to the USA, D.R. Kaarthikeyan, former CBI Director and DG, National Human Rights Commission and A. Ramakrishna, former Deputy Managing Director and president, L & T-ECC, as three new independent directors.

Mr. Sanjay Reddy, vice-chairman said that the GVK EMRI will provide services surpassing global standards with improved transparency following the modern principles of management and leadership. On the board now, the GVK group is represented by GVK Reddy, chairman and G. Indira Reddy, G.V. Sanjay Reddy, vice-chairman and Som Bhupal and also Krishnaram Bhupal as alternate member.
