Minister of State for Human Resource Development D. Purandeswari will inaugurate the International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management here on Sunday in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University B. Satyanarayana, and MLA Tynala Vijaya Kumar. The institute has been in the field of education since last 16 years and has been sending students for medical education to various countries such as Russia and China.

“For the first time, we are entering the hospitality education arena. ISHTM is affiliated to ABE-UK and the examination and the certification will be conducted and given by them,” said chairman of the institute Raja Rao at a press meet here on Saturday.

The institute offers a two-year diploma programme in hotel management for 10+2 students and a three-year programme for tenth pass candidates.

“The courses would cover every aspect of hotel and tourism management such as front office, travel desk, house keeping, and food and beverages. All the programmes will comprise six months of internship,' said correspondent of the institute Surya Kumari.
