Based on complaints received from consumers of rythu bazars, an inquiry will be conducted and those found guilty punished, Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnuvardhan has said.

The MLA was speaking on Wednesday after inaugurating a Rs.2.5-lakh protected drinking water scheme on the premises of the rythu bazar at Swaraj Maidan.

He said that the very idea of introducing the concept of a rythu bazar was to spare any possible inconvenience to the consumer. Referring to the new drinking water plant, he said it would cater to the drinking water needs of both visitors and the farmers at the bazar.
