Work on the second phase of the Inner Ring Road is set to begin soon. The VGTM-UDA, which completed the first phase of IRR from Gaddipadu to Gorantla, has shortlisted the contractual agency for taking up the second phase of work from Gorantla to JKC College Road.
Municipal Administration Minister M. Mahidhar Reddy will lay the foundation stone for the phase-2 of IRR on March 25. The Inner Ring Road will be laid at a cost of Rs.9 crore.
According to a press release from the office of MP, the arterial road from the NH-5 to Braharamba Malleswara Swamy Temple at Pedakakani is also being extended with central lighting facility at a cost of Rs. 65.79 lakh.
