An inter-district thief Kuncha Rajesh (25) of Narasipatnam in Visakhapatnam district was arrested at Mangalapalem village in Kothavalasa mandal on Wednesday. He was involved in several house-breaking incidents and thefts in wine shops. Besides breaking into wine shops in Bhogapuram, Gantyada and Bondapalli mandals and Etcherla and Ponduru in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts, he robbed a merchant of Rs.70,000 and five finger rings last month at Appannapalem in Kothavalasa mandal, Superintendent of police Kartikeya said in a release. Police were on his look out since then and they now tracked him by his mobile. The SP said that Rajesh was a habitual offender and he burgled wine shops at S. Rayavaram, Yellamanchili, and Makavarapalem mandals and a gold shop at Narasipatnam in Visakhapatnam district in the past. Of the Rs.4lakh property stolen, the police recovered Rs.2.90 lakh.
