Paramedics of Krishna district got an opportunity to learn about the latest trends in Lung Cancer research through a satellite interaction session at the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Science and Technology (APCOST) Regional Science Centre here on Wednesday.

The APCOST Regional Science Centre has the facility to interact directly with resource persons in this case scientists from New Delhi through the Edusat Satellite Network.

Resourceperson Pavan Kumar Gupta explained in detail the various causes for Lung Cancer and the latest line of treatment for the disease. Explaining the dangers of secondary smoking he urged all doctors to promote awareness about it.

Multi-purpose Health workers from Kanchikacherla, Thotlavaluru, Guntupalli, Ibrahimpatnam and Kondapalli participated in the awareness programme under the instruction of DM & HO D.Shalini Devi.
