Hyderabad: The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) has announced the first phase of admissions to be made in Intermediate course in the State.


According to a Board of Intermediate Education statement, the sale of applications will start from May 20 and the last date for receipt of applications in the colleges is June 30. Admissions for the first phase have to start from May 28 and have to end on June 30.

The schedule for the second phase will be communicated later.

Board of Intermediate Education Secretary G. Balaramaiah said admissions should be made only on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and no admission test should be conducted.

Unaided colleges should make admissions only up to sanctioned strength. Colleges should prominently display the sections sanctioned and the strength.

Violators warned

College should not lure students with inducements, the BIE Secretary said and added that those violating the rules would be dealt with sternly.
