Members of the Insurance Corporation Employees’ Union in a memorandum to former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu asked him to oppose the proposed increase of Foreign Direct Investment in the insurance sector from 26 per cent to 49 per cent.

The union members met Mr. Naidu who was in the city on Wednesday and asked him to use his good offices to oppose the making of changes to the Insurance Act.

General secretary G. Kishore Kumar and president J. Sudhakar led the delegation.
