Tirumala temple security: forest scoured

As a preliminary step for grounding the outer corridor works intended to provide enhanced security to the sacred hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara, TTDs Executive officer L.V. Subramanyam on Saturday carried out an inspection in the Seshachalam forests accompanied by a team of officials.

As part of the inspections, the team also scoured the forest belt from Kalyana Vedika to Tamaragunta situated at the foot of the Narayanagiri hills. Later, talking to mediapersons, Subramanyam said that the filed inspections would nevertheless enable the management to firm up the final design for the outer corridor works.

Aesthetic beauty

The inspected stretch of forest belt also houses several water beds, rock structures and plantations which he said would not only be maintained but also given a facelift during the progress of the works, adding to the aesthetic beauty of the region.

Prominent among others who accompanied him include the Tirumala-based Joint Executive Officer K.S. Srinivasa Raju, CVSO G.V.G. Ashok Kumar ,Superintendent Engineer – II Ramesh Reddy and other officials.
