VISAKHAPATNAM: A three-day in-house conference is being organised for young scientists of NSTL from Tuesday to equip them with specialised knowledge while creating a strong scientific temper.

The conference was inaugurated by Rear Admiral Dinesh Prabhakar, NM, VSM, Project Director, SBC at Manasi Auditorium of NSTL.

In his inaugural address Admiral Dinesh Prabhakar stressed the need for updating knowledge to face the challenges of the future.

He told the scientists to dream big and back up their dreams with hard work and continuous effort. NSTL Director V. Bhujanga Rao chaired the conference.

He advised the young scientists to not only work in their respective research fields but also share the knowledge on the recent developments in their areas of work.

Some 54 young scientists will be presenting research papers in various fields of naval technologies like naval architecture, mechanical design, rubber technology, electrical and electronics, computer science and other basic sciences.

Convener of the conference Y.S.R. Prasada Rao, principal associate director S.V. Rangarajan, scientists and officers attended the conference.
