GUNTUR: District Collector B. Ramanjaneyulu has asked students to make best use of opportunities available and reach their goals.
Addressing the inaugural of campus recruitment drive held by Information Technology giant Infosys here at Government Women's College on Saturday, the Collector exhorted the students to give their best in the interview and group discussion test. Over 300 students from five districts and trained in various nodal centres of JKC attended the campus drive.
“Learn and develop the traits which the company looks in you and you will succeed,” he said while thanking the Infosys for volunteering to recruit students from government colleges into their ITES services.
The Collector also suggested that Jawahar Knowledge Centres (JKC) should dwell on subjects other than IT and train students in banking, insurance and marketing skills.
For those students willing to enter public service, there are many opportunities with the Public Service Commission filling vacancies soon.
Teacher Constituency MLC K.S. Lakshmana Rao advised the students to give their best shot at the competitive examinations as the government was recruiting many people. Chief Information Officer David Kumar Rapaka gave an insight of the pattern of the interview. He said that four rounds would be held to test the students in their aptitude and attitude. Mr. Kumar also said that similar drives would be held at Rajahmundry on June 2 and Visakhapatnam on June 5.
