WARANGAL: The District Review Committee held here on Tuesday turned out into a wordy duel between the Tribal Welfare Minister D. S. Redya Naik and TDP MLA Kadiam Srihari who blamed each other’s party for the corruption in the implementation of various schemes.

Mr. Srihari listed out how the Indiramma housing scheme was being misused and how officials and public representatives were pocketing money. He wanted the government to take steps for effective implementation of the scheme.

The TDP leader said he was ready to resign as MLA if the figures being shown by the officials were true. “Not even 50 per cent of houses were complete as indicated in the records. Let us undertake a survey at the village level,” he said.
