As part of the State-level programme, ‘Indiramma Kalalu’ will be organised in the district for three weeks from April 9, during which officials will visit residential areas where SCs and STs reside and identify development works to be taken up.
This is going to be a prelude to implementation of the SC/ST sub-plan in the district, in which the planning part is expected to be completed. Once the priorities are chalked out, works will be undertaken in a phased manner.
Addressing a review meeting with mandal-level officials here on Saturday, Collector Neetu Prasad said the government took the sub-plan as a priority issue and a campaign on the sub-plan Act had already commenced in the district.
She said works such as drinking water supply, laying of cement concrete roads, construction of anganwadi buildings, drainage and electricity facility would be given priority.
