Hyderabad: Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday directed officers not to insist on painting of the picture of Indira Gandhi on the walls of newly constructed houses while considering the bills submitted by beneficiaries. The judge passed these interim orders while dealing with a writ petition filed by Sivashankar Reddy and others of Kurnool district.

They complained that the district Collector and the Housing Board officers looking after construction of houses under Indiramma housing scheme were not considering the bills submitted to them. The judge felt that this could not be a preconditionand asked the government to file response.
