Two-day exhibition covers different aspects of the country

WARANGAL: Scores of parents and children were amazed at the oratory skills and in-depth knowledge of children of the Warangal Public School on various issues.

P. Tejasri, a class VII student, delivered an extempore on the history of India, much to the surprise of visitors at the two-day exhibition on the theme `India's splendour'that showcased different aspects and progress of the country in various fields since Independence.

C. Sai Charan, a class X student explained about submarinesand how they work with great ease. . Ch. Abhishek, a class X student came up with his exhibit on rocket technology.

The exhibition covered different aspects of India - costumes, transport, bio-diversity, climatic zones and what not.

Children divided into primary and secondary categories came out with their best exhibits.

Going round the fair was like travelling across the country. "We did not know that people within the country dress differently. After going through the exhibition, we came to know that people in different States dress as per their tradition," said A. Souneeth, a class X student.

So was it for S. Divya Shivani of class X, who said the memories of the exhibition would last a lifetime.

It was not a treat just for the students, but also for teachers and parents as well. School Principal S. Uma Rani was proud of her students and said the exhibition helped children know and understand different cultures, traditions and religions.

The two-day fair, which opened on Saturday, is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
