‘Impart right knowledge to trainee constables’

KHAMMAM: R. Easwar Reddy, Inspector-General (Training), called for efforts to impart right knowledge and induce attitudinal change among the constables in training.

Addressing the new recruits at the district training centre here he stressed the need to motivate and encourage reading habits and help improve their communication skills.

He said the department was keen on providing the police libraries with some good literature translated into Telugu, which could be read easily.

He said that the facilities provided at the district training center at Khammam were the best in the state.

Some 79 acres of land was made available for the center and it could accommodation even a battalion.

Further improvement in the facilities was also in consideration, he added. The Additional Superintendent of police and DTC principal, Parimala and the DTC vice principal, IRS Murty were among those who spoke.
