Hyderabad: Jithender Reddy, who stood all India first at the IIT-JEE this year also bagged the first rank in the Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology (IIST) admission test held on April 30. A student of Narayana Junior College, he earlier bagged the first rank at the VIT admission test making it a triple bonanza.

A statement from Narayana colleges said that their students got 6 ranks in the top 10 in the open category at the IIST admission test and 35 ranks in the top 100. Other students who figured in the top are D. Anirudh, M. Anurag Reddy, Somasekhara Appa Rao, K. Sanath and Uday K. Shah, who was the second ranker in the IIT-JEE this year. Congratulating the successful students, chairman of the Group P. Narayana said similar results were expected in the AIEEE too.

IIST is run by the Department of Space, Government of India and about 156 students will be admitted into B.Tech. programmes in Avionics and Aerospace Engineering. The IIST bears the expenditure of tuition fee, hostel accommodation and boarding for all the admitted students. Every student also gets a book allowance of Rs. 3,000 every semester.
