A student of IIT-Guwahati, Sai Chand. B organised a novel programme at Kollivalasa Upper Primary School of Amudalavalasa mandal on Tuesday and Wednesday to inculcate innovative thoughts among the children. IIT Guwahati, which is keen on enlightening the poor and downtrodden children across the country, asked its students to conduct such programmes during their vacation in the name of ‘Udaan’ a social initiative by the institution.
He explained the life stories of great people like C.V. Raman, J.C. Bose, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and conducted quiz competitions. With the help of teachers, students participated in cultural activities, drawing competition, craft and made idols with clay and cardboard.
Mr. Sai Chand said it was a great experience to spend two days with young minds who could come out with different ideas during Uddan programme.
