VISAKHAPATNAM: A 10-member delegation from Indian Institute of Public Administration in the city for urban study on Wednesday commended the efforts of the Greater Visakhapantam Municipal Corporation administration in achieving targets under various Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission projects in the city.

The delegation comprising senior government officials of the rank of principal secretary evinced interest in the development projects in water supply, bus rapid transit system, housing and urban community development.

In his power point presentation, Municipal Commissioner B. Sridhar said the Rs.340-crore drinking water schemes for Gajuwaka and the 32 villages merged in GVMC were in progress.
