All arrangements are in place for conducting the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) 2011 at 276 test centres all over the State on Wednesday, its Convenor and Principal of Andhra University College of Engineering G.S.N. Raju said on Tuesday.
Admission into MBA and MCA programmes of 23 State universities, including Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, the three JNTUs and Sri Padmavathi Mahila University is based on the rank scored in the ICET 2011.
As many as 1.50 lakh candidates have applied for ICET 2011. There are 49,000 seats available in MCA in 690 colleges and 490 in MBA in 490 colleges, Prof. Raju said.
Minister for Higher Education Damodar Raja Narasimha will pick the set of question paper for the test at 5.45 a.m. at the Platinum Jubilee Guest House of Andhra University. Chairman of AP State Council of Higher Education P. Jayaprakash Rao, AU Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of ICET 2011 B. Satyanarayana, AU Registrar P.V.G.D. Prasada Reddy will be present, Prof. Raju said.
