Indian Air Force (IAF) will conduct a recruitment rally from June 5 to 11 for the first in Krishna district.
In-charge Joint Collector and DRDA Project Director (PD) M. Janaki held a review meeting for the recruitment rally arrangements, here on Monday.
The IAF officials said that they were expecting 6,000 to 8,000 candidates would turn up for the recruitment rally to fill up the Group X (Technical) trade posts in the IAF. The rally was being organised in the city, which was a centrally located place in the state, they said.
The IAF Squadron Leader V. Ravichandra said that it was a good opportunity for the youth to join armed forces in all aspects, including getting a good salary. The youth were looking for jobs with a salary of Rs.20,000 per month nowadays.
The IAF offers much better pay and allowances. The starting salary immediately after training would be not less than Rs.20,000 in addition to perks like ration, medical facilities, accommodation, CSD canteen facility, group insurance coverage of Rs.25 lakh. Above, all it was an honour to work in the armed forces, he said.
The candidates from across the State and from Union Territory Yanam, were eligible to take part in the recruitment. The candidates from Srikakulam, Adilabad, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medak, Nellore, Nalgonda, Vizianagaram, Guntur, Mahabub Nagar, Nizamabad districts and UT Yanam — would have to appear for the written test and interview to be conducted on June 5 and 6.
The candidates from Visakhapatnam, Kadapa, Karimnagar, West and East Godavari districts, Chittoor, Anantapur, Khammam, Prakasam, Kurnool, Krishna and Warangal districts would have to attend the examination and interview on June 8 and 9. Reserve days June 7, 10 and 11 have been earmarked for any exigency.
The candidates born between 1991, July 1, and 1995 September 30, (inclusive of both days) and have passed intermediate or equivalent examination with mathematics, physics, and English with a minimum 50 per cent marks in aggregate are eligible.
