Candidates born between July 1, 1987 and September 30, 1991 eligible to participate
KARIMNAGAR: There was good response to the four-day recruitment rally for the selection of candidates for airmen in the Indian Air Force, which was formally launched at the sprawling Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar town on Thursday.
Several hundreds of candidates from all the 23 districts of the State and the Yanam Union Territory attended the selections. The written test and physical fitness tests for group ‘Y’ trades would be held on Thursday and interview and medical examination of group ‘Y’ on Friday.
The written test and physical fitness test for Group ‘X’ (technical) trades would be held on Saturday and the interview and medical examination for Group ‘X’ on Sunday. The list of selected candidates will be displayed at No. 12 Airmen Selection Centre, Secunderabad on October 31.
Candidates born between July 1, 1987 and September 30, 1991 were eligible to participate in the recruitment rally. Educational qualifications for Group ‘Y’ trades include Intermediate pass with Science, Arts, Commerce subjects with minimum of 50 per cent marks and for Group ‘X’ technical trades Intermediate with Mathematics and physics with 50 per cent marks in overall aggregate. Collector Sandeep Kumar Sultania visited the stadium and inspected the arrangements for the recruitment rally. Speaking on the occasion, he called upon the candidates to excel in their examinations and join the Armed Forces to serve the nation.
Air Force wing commander K.K. Sharma, Stepkar CEO Rajamouli, DRDA Project Director Ravinder, BC Corporation ED Narsinga Rao, ex-servicemen association district president Prabhakar Rao and others were also present.
