VIJAYAWADA: A cable television operator's house was burgled at Pydayya Street in Labbipet and Rs. 1 lakh cash was missing from the house on Sunday.
M. Durga Prasad, a cable television operator, a resident of Sandeep Apartments in Pydayya Street had left with his family for Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation stadium to watch cricket match between cine stars and former test cricket players.
He returned home in the afternoon for lunch and went to the stadium again.
The family returned home in the evening only to found the main door broke opened. They found Rs. 1 lakh cash was missing from a table draw in the drawing room.
The police saw Rs. 60 cash and a ticket of the cricket match and suspect that the offenders might have followed Prasad during the lunchtime and burgled the house in the evening. A case was registered.

The Government Railway Police found the body Beer Bahadur Lama (42) of West Bengal on railway track near railway booking office adjacent to the platform No. 1 on Sunday morning. The police suspect that Lama might have committed suicide. A case was registered.
