Minister for Social Welfare Pitani Satyanarayana has asked homeopathic physicians, and labs, to keep medicine within the reach of poor people as the Indian medicine is getting large attention of the public in the current scenario.

Inaugurating the Indian Institute of Homeopathic Physicians AP chapter State conference here on Sunday, along with Rajahmundry MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar and others, the minister said that some of the ailments which is not cured with English medicine is being cured in homeopathy and people in metros, cities and even in small towns are drifting from English to Indian medicine like homeo and Ayurveda. However, he said that homeopathic medicine is somewhat costlier and people are apprehensive that it is slow in curing diseases.

‘Best option'

MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar said that most of the researches are finding the best option is homeo and it is a great opportunity for the students of Godavari districts that they are having a Government Homeo College in Rajahmundry.

He also mentioned that homeopathic practitioners require patience and concentration and only then the medicine will be given perfectly.

IIHP national president Dr. K.R.K. Prabhakara Murthy presided over the function. MLA Rowthu Suryaprakasha Rao, Mayor Adireddy Veeraraghavamma, Dr. Veerabhadra Rao and expert physician from Mumbai Ajit Kulakarni were present.
