HYDERABAD: The Kacheguda-Bangalore Express got delayed by 20 minutes for departure at Kachiguda railway station on Monday following a telephone call from an anonymous person that a bomb was planted inside it.
Thorough searches by the railway, Kacheguda law and order police and city security wing proved that it was a false alarm. The train was supposed to depart at 7 p.m. Around 5 p.m., the control room of 108 of EMRI received a call from a mobile phone stating that the bomb was kept in the train and that it would explode any time.
Later, the call was traced to a public telephone booth. The police have summoned the PCO owner to ascertain facts.
