Agitators break security cordon and enter the factory before being stopped at the second gate

Protesting against the Cabinet nod to the T-note, integrationists, under the banner of the Konaseema JAC, comprising students, NGOs, Chamber of Commerc attacked the ONGC Refinery on Friday.

A large number of agitators barged into the main gate and broke the security cordon to march into the refinery. However, the police, which joined the CISF, stopped the agitators at the second gate. Officials shut down production for the day. The agitators then moved to the main gate and staged a sit-in till evening.

Several protesters led by the YSR Congress attacked the Kadiyam railway station and ransacked the office of the station Superintendent. They entered the railway station and squatted on the railway track to stop trains, which included a superfast train bound for Howrah from Tiruvanantapuram.

At Tatipaka centre, some unidentified persons torched the car of Congress leader T. Bhaskar Rao. They burnt the maximum number of Congress flags in Inavelli village.

Integrationists broke the glass windows of the SBI at Ambajipeta. All roads leading to West Godavari, Yanam, Rajahmundry, and Kakinada were completely blocked with vehicles, hydraulic excavators and huge tree trunks.

Pinipe Viswaroop, the Minister who quit recently, along with students of KIMS Medical College and members of the Konaseema JAC, took out a rally with a huge ‘Black Day’ banner. The agitators sat on the road braving heavy rain at the Clock Tower and observed relay hunger strike till evening. Many small and medium bridges in the Konaseema were closed as part of the 48-hour road blockade call given by the APNGOs. In Razole, the agitators laid a siege to the house of P. Gannavaram MLA Pamula Rajeswari. .
