TIRUMALA: .The Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala witnessed heavy turnout of pilgrims for the second consecutive day on Saturday. Officials attributed it to the summer vacation coming to an end and declaration of tenth results.

In addition to this, was the bandh call given by various political parties in the Telangana region and the violence that broke out in Tirupati leading to the setting ablaze of the Hyderabad-bound Padmavathi express by miscreants after the arrest of Kadapa Member of Parliament Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday.

All this resulted in devotees extending their stay at Tirumala, thereby compounding the difficulties of the TTD management.

The darshan lines stretched outside the queue complexes. All the three massive pilgrim amenities complexes (PAC) were full to their capacity.
