HYDERABAD: Nizamabad recorded a temperature of 47.2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, the highest experienced in the State this summer, as heat wave conditions engulfed the Telangana region again due to dry winds blowing from the north.

Ramagundam in Karimnagar district reported the second highest temperature for the day at 47 degrees Celsius. Temperature rose significantly in Hyderabad as a result of the heat wave. The city recorded 44 degrees C.

Dry weather prevailed in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions also and the situation is likely to continue for a few more days.
