Waiting at the workshop till your car gets serviced can be taxing and boring. But how about watching a movie in a mini theatre or having a look at some works of art at the workshop even as your car gets serviced? And the icing on the cake -- it is all for free.
Yes, its sounds entertaining and will be a reality soon for Volvo car owners in the capital as Talwar Cars Private Limited is offering these facilities at its new service centre in Miyapur.
Though a service centre, it will have two mini-theatres, which can accommodate four visitors each and a 2,000 sft art gallery to exhibit different works of artists. More importantly, the workshop will be transformed into a theatre after working hours to stage plays and visitors can watch them for free, says Saketh Talwar, Director, Talwar Cars Private Limited. The objective is to promote art and offer some entertainment for the visitors. Known as a cultural centre, it will provide a free platform for artists, especially amateurs to exhibit their works and also theatre artistes, he says. Generally, it takes about five hours for servicing a car and about two hours for a quick service. Car owners find it difficult to kill time and most are forced to comeback to take their vehicle.
“All this can be taxing, hence the cultural centre was set up and we have already tied up with some artists and art galleries to exhibit works,” says Mr. Talwar.
Meanwhile, Volvo Auto India on Monday launched its V40 Cross Country car here.
