VISAKHAPATNAM: Travel atop a mini-bus for long hours under the scorching sun doesn’t seem to sag NTR Junior. The young matinee idol draws crowds, mostly women and children, all along his road show.
He toured various villages and towns and held road shows in Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts on Tuesday.
The bubbly star, who has shed a lot of weight recently, seems to keep a watch on his diet despite his hectic schedule. The cabin of the air-conditioned mini-bus is fully equipped to give him the much-needed rest during breaks. After addressing roadside meetings along the route, he gets down the ladder into the cabin.
At L. Kota, he was informed that he was going ahead of schedule and the crowds were yet to gather at Kothavalasa and Pendurthy. NTR Junior went down into the cabin and started rehearsing for his next meeting.
The speech was on the laptop screen and he was reading it out and memorising it. He cracks jokes with film hero Rajeev Kanakala, some junior artistes and close friends during the breaks.
A few minutes later he opens the cabin door and sees some people rushing towards his vehicle in glee.
He pulls up his staff for not informing him that there is a crowd, and in no time, runs up the stairs and waves from the top acknowledging their cheers.
The cabin has a huge mirror for the young hero to ‘touch up’ his hair. He has a few quick bites in between the shots (breaks) and prefers ‘pulkas’ with curry and lots of buttermilk.
This seems to explain the secret of his trim figure. Chilled water is a no, no and he pops Strepsils to keep his throat clear.
There are also several biscuit packs and Tirupati laddus given to the young hero by his fans and guests, who met him during the road show.
