TRS deputy floor leader in the Assembly T. Harish Rao was sent to 14 days remand to Medak sub jail in the wee hours of Sunday. After a prolonged drama for more than six hours and shifting Mr. Rao from Ramayampet to Nizamabad and back to Medak, he was finally sent to the sub jail along with another 10 persons.
His case was presented before the Judicial First Class Magistrate at Medak who sent him to remand.
Though Mr. Rao's lawyers tried to move a bail petition for his release, the hearing was postponed to Monday.
M. Devender Reddy and five others who were also arrested were also sent to remand and kept at Medak sub jail.
Another 25 persons including G. Anil Kumar and others who were arrested at Tellapur and other areas were sent to the sub jail at Sangareddy. Cases under Indian Railways Act were registered against all the accused, according to police.
