District Sevadal Congress fondly remembers N.S. Hardikar
JEYPORE: The District Sevadal Congress (DSC) observed the 31st death anniversary of the founder of National Sevadal Congress, N.S. Hardikar, on Sunday. Former Finance and Law Minister, Raghunath Patnaik, attended the programme and paid tributes to the leader.
He spoke of the contributions of Dr. Hardikar to the Sevadal Congress. The meeting was presided by president of DSC, Pratap Madala.
Tribal varsity sought
The students of Vikram Dev College and Law College here staged a rally on Monday demanding allotment of at least Rs.500 crores per year to the KBK districts under the Revised Long Term Action Plan (RLTAP).
Led by president of Law College Sumanta Kumar Sahu, vice president of Law College, Subhan Mahanty and president of Vikram Dev College, Siddhartha Panigrahy, they submitted a memorandum to Sub-Collector of Jeypore demanding establishment of a tribal university and medical college at Jeypore.
