T-activists foil bid to release poster

KHAMMAM: The Telangana JAC activists thwarted an attempt made by a group of youths from Guntur to organise what they called “Melukolupu Yatra” against the demand for separate Telangana in the town on Saturday. The youths who claimed to be leaders of the “Samaikyandhra Balahina Vargala Joint Action Committee” made a vain bid to release a poster at the collectorate. They also planned to present a memorandum to the Collector.

The Telangana JAC leaders and activists led by Dr. Kanakachary, Potu Ranga Rao and a host of others stalled their programme and lodged a complaint with the police. They took exception to the attempts made by the youth to take out a rally. The police however took six of the youths into custody and avoided a confrontation.
