GUNTUR: Two students of Master Minds institute here have excelled in the recently announced results of the Common Proficiency Test organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for entry into the CA Intermediate Course.

While T. Rami Reddy got all-India sixth rank, Prashant Agarwal got 22nd rank by scoring 185 and 169 marks respectively out of a maximum of 200 marks in the examination conducted on Feb. 4. Of the 22 students, who took the CPT, 18 qualified for the CA Inter Course.

"The two students said they were pursuing Bachelor of Commerce course simultaneously from Mahavir College and Reddy College.Rami Reddy wishes to complete his Chartered Accountancy and join MBA course to be on top of his profession.

Campus interviews

Satyam Venture Engineering Services, a division of Satyam Group, conducted campus interviews at Vignan's Engineering College, Vadlamudi, for final year B.Tech and M.Tech students on Tuesday.

Project manager V. Balasubramaniyan exhorted mechanical engineering graduates to pursue Ansys, Pro-E or CATIA-V courses for better employment opportunities. While delivering the presidential address, Vignan Group chairman Lavu Rathaiah said the college encourages students to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities without compromising on academics. College placement officer T.V. Rao, and executive director Paturi Koteswara Rao were present.
