The ongoing exercise for reorganisation of various district-level frontal organisations in the TDP reportedly reached a dead end for want of consensus within the intra-party rival groups. The party top brass in the district is looking up to the meeting of the TDP State executive scheduled to be held at Sankarapalli in Ranga Reddy district on November 17 for a solution, according to insiders. The village was said to have been chosen to host the meeting enabling TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu to chair it at the place located en route his ‘Mee Kosam’ padayatra.

The selection of candidates to head the District Telugu Yuvata, the BC cell, and the Telugu Rytu reportedly went haywire as it became a bone of contention for different groups within the party. The process for naming a leader to head the Telugu Yuvata failed to move an inch ahead for want of coordination between the Unguturu Assembly Constituency in charge Ganni Veeranjaneyulu and former Union Minister Bolla Bulliramaiah of the Andhra Sugars. Mr. Bulliramaiah is understood to have proposed Reddy Chandu from Unguturu for the Telugu Yuvata president post allegedly against the wish of the local Assembly constituency in charge. It’s a triangle fight involving former MLA T. Satyanarayana Murthy (Bhabji) from Palacol, Mr. Veeranjaneyulu from Unguturu and Mr. Bulliramiah himself when it comes to selection of a candidate for the president post of the BC cell, it is said. Mr. Bulliramiah is reportedly projecting Mr. Krishna Rao from Kamavarapukota under Chintalapudi Assembly segment and Mr. Babji backs a leader from the Turupu Kapu community in his area, while Mr. Veeranjaneyulu insists on retention of Mr. Peddi Raju as the chief of the BC cell. Film actor Maganti Muralimohan, aided by former minister Maganti Venkateswara Rao, is said to be supporting the candidature of Veeraswami Chowdari while Mr. Bulliramaiah promoting Mr. Ghanta Nani, both from Dwaraka Tirumala mandal, for the post of president of the Telugu Yuvata.

No consensus among party leaders in selection of candidates
