HYDERABAD: Some senior and junior students of Narayana Junior College, Bachupally, clashed over a petty issue matter when power went off while they were having dinner in the dining hall on Thursday. None was seriously injured but a few suffered minor bruises in the incident.
The Dundigal police said that some senior students sprinkled ‘sambhar’ when power supply got disrupted during dinner time. A maid sustained minor burns as ‘sambhar’ fell on her triggering protests from the juniors. This resulted in a clash in the darkness in the presence of in-charge lecturers of the seniors and juniors, Ramana Reddy and Srinivas.
The Dundigal Inspector, Y. Ramachandrudu, rushed to the college campus and made inquiries with the students. Making it clear that it was not a case of ragging, the police registered petty cases against the junior as well as senior students.
