The performance of engineers of the Andhra Pradesh Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (APNPDCL) was evaluated based on certain parameters like prompt redressal of grievances of electricity consumers, especially farmers at a review meeting held here on Tuesday.

The meeting was convened by APNPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Kartikeya Mishra to review performance of the employees of the Khammam circle. According to sources, the APNPDCL has already initiated a series of measures to imbibe professionalism among all ranks of the employees of the corporation for improving services to the electricity consumers.

Grading system has been introduced to motivate the employees discharge their duties effectively and attain professional excellence, sources added. A wide gamut of issues ranging from prompt repairs and replacement of faulty transformers as well as electricity meters to quick disposal of complaints from the consumers figured at the review meeting held here on Tuesday.

Sources said certain deficiencies in delivery of assured services by the staff concerned at some places in Khammam circle have been identified in the meeting for remedial action. APNPDCL Superintending Engineer V Sudhakar and others were present.
