TIRUPATI: Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan visited Horsley Hills in Madanapalle constituency of Chittoor district on Thursday. Referred to as ‘Andhra Ooty', the breezy hill station is used as a summer resort by the Governors, who stay in the Governor's Bungalow -- a vintage building that derives its name from the VIP it plays host to.

Accompanied by his wife Vimala Narasimhan, the Governor alighted from the State chopper at the makeshift helipad near Angallu and was accorded a traditional reception by Collector V.Seshadri and Superintendent of Police K. Lakshmi Reddy.

He later motored up the hill station, where Ms.Vimala Narasimhan formally declared open the suites in the bungalow, which were recently renovated at a cost of Rs.10 lakh.

The Governor couple flew down to Tirupati and offered prayers at Sri Padmavathi temple in Tiruchanur in the evening.
