Various cultural programmes staged by the students at the Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium marked the 11th anniversary celebrations of the Gouthami Junior College here on Thursday.
Attending as the chief guest, the college chairman Maheshkumar Goud, asked the students not to get confined to only to studies and take part in sports and games and other extra curricular activities for physical and mental improvement. He emphasised the need of acquiring talent in multiple aspects. Mr. Goud was of the opinion that instead of pursuing traditional engineering courses the students should explore opportunities in other fields forecasting future expansion and development of economy. He told them that there was no substitute for hard work in studies.
College principal Ms. Geetha Reddy, Gouthami Degree College principal Nagaiah and correspondent Mallikarjun also spoke.
