Google has called upon public to cast votes to choose the best proposal out of those submitted by not-for-profit organisations under its Google Impact Challenge. Voting ends on October 30 midnight and one can select their favourite project at ‘g.co/indiachallenge’.

Google announced the list of 10 not-for-profit organisations for the final rounds. Of these 10 finalists, four winners will get Global Impact Awards of Rs. 3 crore each. The winners will also get mentoring from Google to deliver on their project. The 10 finalists are Agastya (www.agastya.org), Breakthrough (www.breakthrough.tv), Chintan Environmental Research & Action Group (www.chintan-india.org), Digital Green (www.digitalgreen.org), Going to School Fund (www.goingtoschool.com), Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship & Democracy (www.janaagraha.org), Pratham Books (www.pratham.org), Prayas Energy Group (www.prayaspune.org), Shelter Associates (www.shelter.com), and Social Awareness, Newer Alternatives (www.sana.org.in).
