Municipal Commissioner K. Sudhakar instructed civic officials to furnish information on under and over assessments of property and other taxes in the city within a week to take necessary measures for reconciliation. He also wanted a special meeting to be convened to discuss audit objections.
In a meeting with Revenue Department officials on Thursday, Mr. Sudhakar said details should also be provided on shops under lease and vacant ones auctioned at the earliest to garner additional revenue to the corporation.
Similarly, parking lots ought to be regularly monitored to check irregularities. The Town Planning Department has to work out an action plan for this.
