It offers courses in retail, marketing and HR management
VISAKHAPATNAM: Global Retail School (GRS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cosmo Aviation Training School, and promoters of the education brand Flying Cats, launched their franchisee in retail schooling here on Saturday. Briefing the press at the launch, the CEO of GRS Aditi Srivastava said that the school offers retail management programmes in collaboration with Bharti Resources and Annamalai University.
The school offers two three-year BBA degree programmes in retail management and marketing and HR management and a one-year diploma programme in retail management. She pointed out that the retail industry would need 25 lakh professionals by 2010.
Students from any stream can join a course after completing intermediate. The courses are approved by the Distant Education Council, Government of India. The fee for the three-year programme would be Rs. 60,000 per year and Rs. 60,000 for the one-year diploma programme.
“There is a tie-up with the ICICI Bank for loan facilities. All the courses are recognised by Annamalai University and we also have a diploma programme, which is not recognised by any university. The fee for that programme would be Rs. 30,000,” said the Centre Director of the School Venkatesh Rao.
