  • Officials urged to fulfill all promises made by Chief Minister during his visits

    ONGOLE: District Collector B. Udaya Lakshmi has asked officials to fulfill the promises made by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy during his Pallebaata and Nagarbaata programme in the district by this month-end.

    Reviewing development activities at a meeting of officials here on Tuesday, she said the Chief Minister received 171 applications during his visits. Of them 100 assurances were already fulfilled, 51 were in different stages of progress, four were rejected and 16 were pending.

    She wanted the officials to keep all the promises by this month-end. Mrs. Udaya Lakshmi also reviewed Indiramma programme under which 62,000 houses were sanctioned in the district.

    Possession certificates were issued for house sites to 48,436 beneficiaries. Government land was allotted at 361 places for house sites. She asked officials to provide house sites to all the beneficiaries.

    She also reviewed the progress of works taken up with funds from MP Local Area Development (MPLAD) and Assembly constituency development. Three auditors were appointed to issue utilisation certificates.

    She wanted officials to pay special attention to resolve the representations submitted during grievances day meetings.
