Senior Y.S.R.Congress leader B.CH.Garataiah embarked on a mass contact programme in the Addanki Assembly constituency on Saturday in a bid to get closer to the people.

Dr. Garataiah, a four-time MLA from this constituency in Prakasam district kicked off his “Gadapa Gadapaki Garataiah” programme from Bodavada village in J.Pangalur mandal after performing pooja at the Prasanna Anjaneya swamy temple at Singarayakonda.

People in SC, ST and BC colonies raised the issues of water problem, house site pattas and link roads during his visits to among other villages, Kallamvaripalem, Chinnamallavaram and Kotapadu. He assured them to take up the issue with officials concerned and find an early solution to their problems.

The mass contact programme of Dr. Garataiah envisaged over a period of six months, came in the wake of the party appointing sitting Congress legislator G. Ravikumar as the party coordinator for the constituency after the latter faced disqualification for voting for the motion of no confidence in the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government recently.

He assures people to take up their problems with officials concerned and find an early solution
