Accuses the government of hoodwinking people
Former CPI (M) MLA M.A. Gafoor called upon people on Sunday to rout the Congress government in the State and the UPA government at the Centre to ensure progress.
Addressing a meeting of party functionaries here, he accused the Kiran Kumar Reddy government of hoodwinking people by diverting attention from burning issues.
The administrative functions were stalled due to internal bickering among Cabinet members and when the government’s existence was in question, the State got no new industry, he said.
Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is steeped in corruption and affecting the interests of educated unemployed youth, he alleged.
The UPA government is scam-tainted, Mr. Gafoor alleged. The BJP is also steeped in problems, he alleged.
He demanded that the government construct Bramhani steel factory in the public sector to promote industrialisation in Kadapa district.
CPI (M) is doing a survey on problems in the education sector, he said.
CPI (M) State committee member G. Chandrasekhar presided.
Another State committee member B. Venkat, district secretary B. Narayana, district committee leaders K. Anjaneyulu, N. Ravisankar Reddy, A. Ramamohan, B. Jakraiah, B. Manohar and others participated.
