HYDERABAD: Minister for Endowments Gade Venkat Reddy has said that the present crisis that has gripped the State in wake of the Centre’s statement on Telangana could be resolved through scientific measures.

“In my personal opinion, setting up of second States Reorganisation Commission is the only way out to decide the fate of demand for smaller States,” he said in an informal chat with reporters at the Congress Legislature Party office on Monday.

He observed that the first statement issued by Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram caused outrage in Andhra and Rayalaseema regions while the second statement only compounded the problem in Telangana. He felt that there was no need for Andhra and Rayalaseema Ministers to make a beeline to New Delhi to put forth their views on the present crisis.

Queried whether the Andhra and Rayalaseema Ministers were planning to demand a white paper on the allocation of funds and spending, he said there was no such plan. He said they were only referring to the developmental programmes in the three regions.
